CENTRALIZED FACULTY
RESOURCE CENTER
This Privacy Policy Is Effective as of: March 1, 2006.
This notice describes the Centralized Faculty Resource
Center (CFRC) website’s privacy policy. The website is owned and
operated by the Foundation for California Community Colleges (FCCC), a
501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation whose mission is to support and enhance the
missions of the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges (CCC),
the Chancellor’s Office of the CCC, and the colleges, districts, and
foundations of the CCC system. The FCCC established and operates the
website under a grant provided by The Gordon and Betty Moore
Foundation.
By visiting the CFRC website, you are accepting the
practices described in this Privacy Notice.
What information does CFRC gather?
The CFRC website is an internet tool designed to ease California’s
nursing shortage by helping nursing schools to identify and recruit faculty
applicants. Through the website, nursing schools may post their open
faculty positions, while potential applicants may post their interests,
qualifications, and other relevant information.
In order to achieve its purpose, the CFRC website collects
the following information:
Information Provided By Users: The CFRC website
receives and stores information entered onto the website, including personally
identifiable information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, and email
addresses. The information will be used to create databases of available
clinical faculty positions and of potential faculty candidates. These
databases will become part of the Nursing
Resource Center
(“NRC”), and may be shared with licensees of the NRC. NRC
licensees will be limited to school representatives approved by FCCC.
FCCC will also compile and analyze statistics based on
information collected on the website. These statistical compilations,
which will not contain any personally identifiable information, may be shared
with The Moore Foundation and potentially other nursing markets.
Automatic Information: Cookies are alphanumeric
identifiers that are transferred to the user’s computer hard drive
through its web browser. The CFRC website uses “cookies” to
store client data in order to permit users to move efficiently through the site,
without having to re-enter data.
How can users review and make changes to the data
that they have entered?
Users may review and alter their data by updating their
Account Information. From any CFRC page, click on the username in the top
right corner or select “Update My Account” from the Faculty
Candidate or School Representative menu option.
How will the CFRC website notify users to changes in
the website’s privacy policy?
The Privacy Notice above applies only to the information
gathered under the CFRC website. Users will be notified of any changes
made to this Privacy Notice. If a change is made, an announcement will be
made under the “Help” section of the CFRC site. The
announcement will include a complete explanation of any changes in the policy
and will
provide a link to the language of the new policy.
In the future, FCCC may add new services to this website
that may require users to provide different or additional information.
The information gathered to provide a new service may be subject to a different
privacy notice, which shall appear on the website when the new service is
launched.
